So I was chatting with my friend Joe tonight. He's not an old car guy, but appreciates fun machines (he taught me to ride a motorcycle years ago) and helped me when I started the Tunebug for the first time. I was telling him about my adventures into vacuum advances and my impending day of tuneups on the Tunebug.
His comment was to this effect:
<span style="font-style: italic">"If nothing else, you've given this car another life. It won't be put aside again, as it's now something special and not just an old used car. It should give you or the next owner many years of good fun."</span>
Especially given all the years the Tunebug spent put away (it was off the road for over 30 years or so starting in the late 1960s) it's a good feeling to know that if nothing else, I've given this little car a chance to drive again.
