I have posted before and stated that when my car is parked on a slight incline (front end up) I seem to have a leak around the overdrive area. When the car is level I really don't seem to have much of a leak if any at all.
Anyway, thanks to all of you, I got instructions on how to jack the car up and put it on stands and I was able to examine the area. It would appear, based upon my initial inspection that the rear seal of the overdrive unit might be leaking which would make sense. I still do have some oil on the filter plate and on the bottom of the case but I do see some on the back of the shaft area where it joins the drive shaft at the overdrive unit.
Anyway, if it is the rear seal of the overdrive, can this be changed on the car or do I have to pull the engine? Is this a job that I could undertake or is it best left to a pro?
Thanks for all of your help...
