MGB 1975 MGB No Fuel to the filter

Car was running and died. Now there is no fuel to the fuel filter user the hood. The pump is working and the fuel tank is full. I haven't checked the outlet of the fuel pump. The hoses are very hard and I don't think I will be able to reconnect them. I plan to replace them, but not yet. Any ideas would be appreciated. Keith

Keith - You may not have a choice on the fuel lines. It sounds like you have a rather massive air leak on the inlet side of the pump (or a fractured valve reed in the pump itself) and you are going to need to run some checks that involves disconnecting the fuel lines from the pump in order to check it out. Keith, I had the same thing happen to me on the 72 and it was a crack in the suction line coming from the tank. Follow Daves instructions and book mark his web site! There's a wealth of information there. Yes, as Dave said, you'll have to pull the lines to check things out and make repairs. PJ
