Easy that, Harbor Freight or the like. Yep, anyplace that sells china tools. What ever is cheepest. You'll only need em one time most likely.

I also take the maintenance manual and a Moss Motors or Victoria British Catalog incase I need something overnighted to my motel or wherever I am at. Weekend trips or longer.
 
I once hung an entire exhaust system with bailing wire...lol

Guys all of you forgot some of the must haves for the road box,points,rotor,cap,f/filter,carb oil,one of most important a throttle cable (mine broke once I'll always carry a spare)tire plugging tool & plugs 1 of those cheep little air compressors and the tools needed to do some minor work on the road all fit in two small canvas bags that stay in my boot. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif I also agree w/the preventative maintance line from a couple posts b4 it goes along way
 
oh, my list was for all the time, road trips are different of course

I've found wire coat hangers to be a reasonable substitute... and I never hang my clothes up, anyway.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif
 
Wow...some good ideas there. I haven't had time to participate in this topic since I've been moving this past week...but I definitely need to take some of your guys' pointers.

As for flashlights...I have one of those ones that has a squeeze handle on it that charges up the light when you squeeze it several times. Not the brightest light, but definitely reliable.

And good old fashioned flares, since my Sprite does not have hazard lights.

Sounds good... unless you're stuck and need both hands....

I've got a little headband mounted combo (regular/LED) one that uses 3 AAA bateries that's very small and light and works well.
 
Why heck, have both then. Hope you are one of those folks who remember batteries.

I do. Nothing beats a big flashlight when it comes to looking for things... but its not the best for working on a car- I had one carefully balanced to light up my work ... until it rolled off the fender and broke the bulb. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

And with one little and one large you can lose a set of batteries and still have light (maybe) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
