Your Computer Desktop

I have a more abstract desktop at present. I arrange my icons in the black area around the blob so I can read them easily. Some of the other ones I can’t post here.

William, nice photo!

As for hiding desktop items, there is an easy and very useful way that not many people know about. Create a folder and put shortcuts for everything you want access to in it. Then drag the folder to any empty edge of the screen. It will become a tool bar. ........

Cool trick!I prefer a clean desktop without all the clutter and this suits my OCD tendencies!

Thank you for the tips on "iconectomies". The "hide desktop icons" thing works fine-and I wonder why I didn't do it before! I was down to only four icons-Photoshop, Musicmatch, the Recycle Bin, and a folder called "unused desktop icons". I hid 'em, since I don't mind going to the menu bar all that much. I should do this for my parent's computer too-about a third of the screen is taken up with icons!

As a thank you here's another wallpaper I was using until recently. All original artwork.

To be fair - I alternate between the Shark and my MG.

My current desktop: June 1, 2006, Lake Como, Italy. Lunch on the lake. About half the time, my mind is there . . .

My most recent ones( like to switch periodically!): the first is the castle in the town I grew up in (Kyrenia, Cyprus) and the second was this Ferrari up to its knees in mud I snapped at the glen!

Ok, I give in. Anyone guess my favorite TV show? I'll give you three guesses and the first 2 don't count.

A little late to the party... my current work desktop, taken overlooking the green river in southern Utah while camping last fall.

Drew, I just drove through that section of Utah over the weekend on an impromtu Las Vegas trip. It had been a long time since I drove through that country. Its both depressingly desolate and incredibly beautiful. Made me want to figure out some camping trips to that area in the near future. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I spend a lot of time down there, whenever possible. Southern Utah is a truly magical place. Lots of good places to camp, too. My motorcycle gets lots of mileage down there.

A bit hot in the summer months, though (well above 100F). Spring and Fall are wonderful down there. I'll probably be heading back down in early April.

I will be driving through this Summer on the way from LA to Park City. It's gonna be a hot one going through the Nevada desert in July in a MG TC!

You coming up for the big MG dealy in July? I work in Park City, will be fun to have lots of nice cars around here for that week. Hopefully the Tunebug will be running by then. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Southern Utah in July can be pretty brutal, though. July and August are usually best to be avoided down there. Especially in your TC!

I know. I'm pretty die hard when it comes to driving rather than trailering. But I'm not going to give anyone crap for not doing this drive. I considered trailering myself! But my wife will have none of that.

We will have to be sure to hook up while we are there. I think we'll be in town for about four days. There should be 150 or so pre-war MGs driving around during that time. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I'm really excited for it, I'll be in LBC heaven, right in my backyard. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
