Your Computer Desktop

Ok, my project is at a standstill for a bit and I'm bored. What does your computer desktop / background image look like? How long has it been there?

This is mine. It's a painting of MG M-Types racing at Brooklands, painted in color from an old photograph (not by me) and then scanned and turned black and white. I typically don't keep a photo-type image as my background image for very long but this one has been around for a few months. Usually I have a simple graphic background.

Since I've had the same wall paper for far too long... This is a photo by someone I know, of an old abandoned farm in Saskatchewan... And I only wish I had taken this photo /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif not quite there yet...

Right now I have this picture from my vacation last summer!
I had to go into my photoshop and reduce the size!!

Baz, Scotland? Looks like a lot of places but that's my best guess. Beautiful!

Sherlock, I love that photo!

Can't see Mike's. Maybe his monitor is off? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Changed my mind... Some interesting portrait work a friend does, working with old film cameras most of the time, and using old-time darkroom techniques

And, yeah... This guy kicks butt on my photowork too, but he's been at it for far longer than me too /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Mine is my sig pic. I have my son working on a new sig pic which may also become my desktop.

Here's the one I'm using right now, but when I'm doing photo stuff I tend to make it neutral gray:

The body of water at the bottom of the valley, is Tal-Y-Llyn Lake, Snowdonia National Park.
The road on the left goes down to a village called Llanegryn and has to be one of the best LBC roads on the planet, it then turns north up along the coast road which is even twistier and narrower.
I have to dig that video out, the first time my wife came with me, I took her down this road; not only was she not expecting the narrow/twisty:speed ratio, but certainly not expecting a large bus to be taking up two lanes to appear 30 yards ahead!
The hill to the right is Allt-Llwyd and the other side drops into Cardigan Bay. The circuit is 55 miles long, takes in 2 lakes/valleys, 3 castles, cliff raods with sheer drops to the Bay, beach roads and 1 mountain (Cadair Idris 900m ASL) and is RWD heaven.

Hey Baz...

Does this look familiar to you then? I knew that Snowdonia sounded familiar...

This is a 1947 photo of Crib Goch that my mother took, when she grew up in England (Coventry) she used to vacation in Wales sometimes

Multiple machines here, all with the same desktop... not gonna post it, so just ~visualise~ Herself in a black-and-white "Vicky's Secret" glamshot photo... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

What skin is that Basil? Windowblinds or something? I like it.
Never went up Snowdon Sherlock, not likely to either, it's dangerous.

I have a program installed called "Active Desktop calendar (it integrates with Outlook) and I have my desktop image set to a picture of my 1950 Daimler Special Sport.
