TR4/4A Yeah, I kind of bought another TR4. I wasn't looking - honest.

OK - two minutes of wiring brushing (and wounded pride from having should of known this) I found it. Looks like CT38727E.
 
The STC (Standard Triumph Corp?) was used at some point to designate the model year. Mine is on the opposite side of the car (near the chassis number):

I do not recall if this was just required in some states or if other circumstances dictated it.

I wonder if they just did that in '65 for some reason. I have the same plate on a '65 tub that I just bought. Didn't have one on my '66. ???
