More progress!

Yesterday, I got the radiator mounted. Part of the conversion involves relocating the radiator a bit forward of its stock location. Which involves cutting away part of the apron and mounting new panels to the fenderwells. It also sits lower, part of it being below the apron. It will require bracing on the forward side, but I have to mount the A/C condenser before I can do that.

Also got a bit more done on the interior. Tucked away some of the exposed wiring behind the dash. But I can't complete that until I'm sure all the bits work. And that isn't going to happen until the engine is started.

Next up is to sort out the accelerator pedal. Modifications to the firewall ended up distorting the area where the pivot bolt passes through, and the pedal is skewed a bit. Hope to get that done this afternoon.

Fun, fun, fun!

Pictures?

Good work. Your progress reports make me want to go dig my B out of storage, even though it's still winter here.

Yeah, I need to get some more pictures. Will drag the camera out today and see if I can update.

VERY nice, bro!!!

Very nice work indeed. I'm also curious about the dash. Retro-fit earlier dash or something else?

Thanks, Drew. It is an early dash in a '69 body. This was Tony's project he was doing for his wife, Jerri. He had started the conversion, and had done the hard part of the changeover to the steel dash. I've made a few changes to accommodate the new gauges and the air conditioning, but Tony had already done the lion's share of the work.

The radio console is from the European MGB's - different from the ones over here.

Wow, Mickey, that's so fine, that's so fine it blows my mind!

Sorry, that couldn't be helped! LoL

Thanks, guys. For months this thing has been kicking my tail section. Finally feels like I'm kicking back!

Hey, Rik - Long time no hear!

Give me a call sometime. We need to catch up!

Mickey

Got a lot done today! The fuel line is run and the fuel pump is installed. Radiator is in and finally managed to find/fabricate the hoses. Coil and distributor are installed and wired. Cooling fan is installed and wired with the proper controls and relay.

Have an all-day meeting tomorrow; otherwise, I think I'd actually try to start it then for the first time! Just a couple of loose ends to tie up, but she's ready to fire!

Again... YAY!!!!!

Ooooohh!!!! Now we wait fer th' "VrooM-VROOOM!!" post!!!
