hello, could some one tell me how to remove the driven gear shaft from the xpag block? thank you. sincerely, tom

Tom, I sent you and E-mail and will try and get my books back. Maybe someone else can help before then. Wayne

Aloha TMP,

I've never done this, but my workshop manual for TD and TF describes the procedure. After having removed the oil pump cover, withdrawing the driven gear, removing the pump from the block along with the drive gear and shaft, "Screw a suitabale extractor into the end of the driven gear shaft and withdraw it from the cylinder block if it is required to remove this." Probably easier said than done, however it sounds as if the bore of the shaft maybe threaded. With the engine in the car, I imagine there isn't alot of room to work. Good luck.

Safety Fast,
Dave
