Would you try this?

It's just that first step....

Nope - I have a wife and kids that count on me

I do that every day-it's the quickest way from work to the subway. Off the roof, down Hubbard, hook a left at the Nordstrom's, up Grand, mind the crosswind coming in off Lake Michigan, and pull the ripcord, gently floating down to land on the sidewalk in front of the stairwell leading to the Red Line stop. If I'm feeling it, I'll hook a left, across the river, under the el tracks, and to the Lake Street stop.

Anyone buying this?

Anyway, I'd totally do that. But I wonder, how does one learn to fly a wing suit? I mean, what, do you do training glides over water or something?

Start learning really high up. There is a saying, altitude is your friend. That being said, there is nothing like flying close to a mountain wall.

I would absolutely love to do that. My wife thinks I'm completely nuts, but I will say that this is certainly not the first thing I've wanted to do (or actually have done) that's made her say that....
A patient one, she is.
