Wiper Motor gromets

Ordered new wiper motor gromets for the 65 from Moss. How the heck do you get them into the hole?

Mark

Cut them in half at the thin part. Install half from the top half from the bottom.

A long time ago I purchased a short green plastic stick from VB for the installation of rubber seals. The stick cost was about $3 and it has been worth its weight in gold. I used it when I installed my grommets and while it wasn't easy, it got the job done.

I did what Jack did...now, Mike, tell me about your little stick...

Hay wait, this is a family forum.

I've had no problem with any grommets yet - strong fingers I suppose - have also wondered if dental floss would work as though you were installing a tiny windshield

Those grommets are tough - I got mine in without cutting. Some brute force and a lot of ignorance on my part helped. (Also a little dishwashing soap.) I also used a small screwdriver which helped but it could have easily slipped and did nasty things to the paint (there's the ignorance part).
