Brosky--- I dont understand.Wilds of New Hampshire.Wood stove roaring. Watching the driveway get plowed[$20.00],Wife making Bavarian Hot Pot soup in the kitchen[smells good],2 cases of Sam Adams Winter Lager,Laurel and Hardy on Turner Movie Classics and self employed[boss gave me the day off]. Relax and enjoy. Summer's comming.House maintence, mowing, and all the rest.Bet the sun comes out tommorrow.Start a home business and write off the plowing? Heck--I even have a TR2 painted ICE BLUE.

John, that is why I'm sitting inside right now. Self employed.

I watched mine get plowed $30, my wife made some nice sandwiches for lunch and now she's getting a smoked chicken ready for dinner. Same picture as summer except it will be warm and there's nothing outside to slip and slide on.

And I can't drive either the TR6 or the TR8 and there is no golf for a long time. I'm just getting old and crotchety.

Paul,

We moved here from South Carolina 16 years ago. So I hear you brutha, we miss the warmth too. Then again, they're getting hammered too right now!

Old and crochety? Nah...... It's ok to vent. Just saw a story that says there's snow in 49 states. If it starts snowing in Hawaii,I will leave the planet. There's a rumor that milk cartons with Al Gores' picture are showing up at Stop n Shop. PeterK- Carolinas to Maine? How'd that happen? Bad map? Hope you guys know Im only poking fun.

Better get your spacesuit on.

The only state without snow is Florida.

Most people don't know that The big Island (Hawaii) does get snow on the high peaks. You wouldn't be the first to be caught out by that. Won't be the last either.

Also Haleakala on Maui can get snow (Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea on the big island are over 13,000 feet, Haleakala is over 10,000).

Guess I picked a bad year, here a bit southeast of Albany, NY, not to have a winter car yet....

(Yes, that's a Herald sedan...somewhere under all that, with a dead TR7 convertible to its left....)

Still need to get some paperwork taken care of for the winter ride; hopefully that'll happen soon!

just got done running the snowblower for a few hours, after working all day(sorry for using those 2 bad words in the same sentence)
cheer up guys, we're almost halfway through January, the days are getting longer, it's all downhill from here!

Wow, that snow is really beautiful.

Our weather here doesn't give you much to look at (65 & sunny). 'Warm' doesn't photograph well.

What are they all doing with jackets on! Wimps....

I missed that!! It's 65 and they're wearing jackets???

What's up with that program?

Love the snow. When I lived in Ohio my TR6 had a license plate frame that said, I'd rather be snowmobiling. I'll get back on a sled one day.

I actually miss the snow. Go figure I live in Austin, TX. You'll think I'm crazy, but I loved driving my Spitfires and GT6s in the snow when I live in Indianapolis. I know I'm weird, but something about being in a soft top especially in a good storm fighting your way to wherever is really appealing to me. Always has been, even when I had to get the last ferry out of Burlington, VT to get over to NY because the roads were so bad.

I'm only 38, and have to remind myself the damp and cold are bad for a thrice broken back and pelvis, along with the other myriad fractures. But it is sooo pretty when it snows, and I have a million pics I want to take with my Spitfire or MGB in a bunch of places in the Dacks and New England. Stay warm and spring will be here soon. Hopefully.

Here we go again. We just about got rid of one mess from two weeks ago and we're just half way through the next one. This is as of 8:20AM and we have another 6-8 hours of this coming.

I hate snow.....
Paul, If you're going to complain then you've got to come up where I live....
We've got 3ft+ snow drifts and it's hitting -30C each night all this week!
Got my wife's AWD Murano stuck coming off the driveway.
Long time to Triumph time.

While I'm committed to some TR3s now, I drove an MGA 1600 for 15 years. In the snow, rather than be stuck, I remembered a Model A owners trick I was told about. Lace 1/2 inch poly rope through the wire wheels and tie it off. (If you own an MGA chances are you keep rope in the boot). In deepish snow it actually worked. The MGA mostly slid on it's belly and it was a slow trip out to the highway, but we made it.

Driving an open car in 65 degrees... you can get a bad chill if you're not careful.

At the end of the fall season, my son and I would go out with the top down with the temps in the mid-to-upper 50s to go to the store or grab pizza. Just need to have long pants and long sleeve shirt and turn up the heat (windows down please! None of this driving with the top down and windows up for us.).

Hi Folks,

I moved to the NW SC area about 1-1/2yrs ago from the "Pocono Mtns of PA". I don`t envy you at all nor do I miss all the shoveling, power outageous, slipping & sliding etc.

Yeah; We had a freaky storm (About 6"-8") of the White stuff & Freezing rain. "Everything" shuts down here! No one goes anywhere! I don`t shovel anymore; Just simply wait a day or two for the temps to go climb back up & Its gone!

By this coming Sat. & Sun. back into the Mid 50s & creeping up to the low 60s by Mon / Tues.

Why would one want to move from "SC" to "Maine" anyway? I traveled all of "NY State" & "New England" during the winter months & hated every moment of it.

Have Fun Anyways,

Russ
