The Road America track will impose limits as yet un-specified. I would expect there to be little or no passing. I would expect there to be a pace car. They do have cameras and there will be observers, and they are conscious that some people and cars are more capable than others. I hope that if we all behave, that the limits will be liberal.

Apparently, track owners are acutely aware of some unfortunate recent tragic circumstances.

I welcome track imposed limits. I feel that I can keep my ego in check, and I know my limitations and my car's limitations and I would stay well within those. However, I would feel uneasy if there was just one other driver out there that did not know his/her limitations or allowed his/her ego to push the envelop.
 
Right, it's totally understandable that they do this and I'd be surprised if they didn't. It would still be nice to know details sooner rather than later just from my personal point of view.
 
I agree, it would be a bummer if it is a 35 mph parade. But i trust the local guys to work out something that is safe and entertaining.
 
I'm pretty sure you'll need to use your brakes for turns 1 5 6 7 8 Canada corner and 14. Might have to downshift for hill after 5 and main straight. You won't have to lift or brake in the Kink, (no Spridget does, though)

I am guessing top to be over 60 by a little, but don't make me promise. If someone does a burnout on the way, they'll probably clamp down.

Been awhile since I've posted, a lot of things have happened the last few years, but the place you're going is awesome. I took my bugeye up to a vintage race a couple years ago and could not have had a better time. I did the track time with all the other crazed ones. yes there is a speed limit, think it was an unobserved 80, no passing in the corners, observed. The track is almost 4 miles, think we did 6 laps. It was really, really fun. Of course the next smallest engine were 2 GT 6s(passed both).
Can't make the trip, but wish I could, enjoy!!!
Went to Lake of the Ozarks, it was fun. Come on Jack, you need to show, you'll have fun, and everyone will miss you, I'd bet the wife would let you go if you could find a chaperon.
