Why I'm looking forward to 50yrs of Midgets...

Kim, I'll probably be a day ahead of you, but when it gets closer to time I'll firm up my plans and touch base.

Cool, as I recall you are in the Louisville area, right? I am taking the whole week off and so I could leave a day early. I can't remember the dates off hand that I reserved at the Victoria village. I need to check all that. Its getting closer.

I'll be coming thru Nashville and then Terre Haute, where my sister lives. I'll try and avoid the interstates beyond Nashville.

I plan on arriving in Wisconsin on on Saturday so I can spend time with an old friend, so I'll probably be ahead of you'all going up. Maybe we'll caravan south

See you soon
Phil

Phil, If you're going to be in God's country early, Road America is the site of the best Vintage Racing festival in the US. The KIC or Kohler International Challenge. Try to spend a day there. It's fantastic.

Peter C.

It'll be nice to meet you all.

Hi JP. It is my understanding that the discounted rates ended may 1st. No other hotels have any special rates for the event. If you find a good deal, it may be worth sharing the info.

Just made my reservations, Hurray! I am at the Siebkens Resort, they still do have special rates AND a block of rooms available. I'm paying $89 Mon- Wed and $119 Thurs. FWIW the closest non Elkhart Lake hotels are about 12 miles away for similar prices. There is one more other resort in town - spendy and a few similarly priced B&B's. I'm excited, now till July 1 for the registration. :driving:

Good Stuff JP ! I will see you there - are you taking Badger ferry ? I will be on the Monday July 18, 9am crossing, already have hotel booked in Ludington the night before.

You won't be the only one on that ferry, Jer. I just bought a new aluminum trailer so Little Mo can ride in comfort and I'll probably need more room on the ferry than you will. I'll be staying in Ludington the night before also. I suspect that there will be a few Spridgets in town on Sunday night.

Great Nelson, looking forward to meeting you, yep I'm sure there will be a few of us on that crossing ! Should be a great time.

You know I never get a good buy in for this back before LOTO but it would be nice to have a thread where everyone could post a picture of themselves and their spridget so we could recognize both when we get there. I felt bad because it seems a lot more people recognized me than I did them. I am terrible with putting a name to a face some times. LOTO was a wonderful time and wonderful people. One of the best weeks of vacation I ever had.

I think that that we should wear name badges with our "BCF" names on them as well as our regular names!

"Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!"

Hay Bill how about a badge that says

Man, I can't wait to see you guys again!!
Jack, will you be able to join us, I sure hope so.
46 days till I leave, July 13th
So much to do, so little time.
Phil

No Phil. I think that is too long a drive for the wife and me now days.

We just celabrated tonite our 51 anniversary and we are both in our early 70's.

I know, I know, that's no excuse but the wife did not want to drive all the way up there in the truck. What can I say.

You all have a great time and a pint for Tony and Me.

Fly to Chicago, I'll pick you up at O'Hare.

Jack,
Patti and I are celebrating 28 years tommorow. About 1/2 way there!!
I'll certainly have a pint for you, Tony and Frank, but I don't want to put you in that group for a while.

At 55 I went back to college and graduated in December from FAU. I had classes with Jeff Van Kemp from Niceville!!

This trip is my colledge graduation present to me.

I start law school this fall, so I wont be gettin out much for a while.

Phil

Oh grats on Law school.

Oh yea from 50 to 70 is prime time. Enjoy every minute.

Don't know Jeff Van Kamp.

Several of us who've been working on this event spent the day last Saturday reviewing and previewing routes, restaurants, countryside and beer.

If you can't have fun at this event, there's no hope for you.

It's not a competition, but this area of Wisconsin is one of the really great places in the universe. I hope to see you all there.

If you are at all on the fence, give me a yell. We have a lot more available than we're able to show on the website.

Jack, give it a shot.

Question: what are the "limits" on the track tour?
