A friend of mine has rather bad memories of these early Escorts, when he first started driving their family was a 1981 or 1982 Escort station wagon, with an automatic! Can you say sluggish? :yesnod: I think he grew to despise that car, and then saved up enough money to buy a 1983 Mazda RX-7 for himself...

had a friend who was *ahem* large who owned a Hyundai Pony. She and another friend who was *ahem* larger had to drive from Hamilton to Brockville and could not get the cruise to engage.
