Who drove thier Triumph today?

Unfortunately, rain, ice and snow have been the flavor of the day for the past couple of weeks now.

With 1/4" to 1/2" of ice predicted tomorrow for the Chicago area... it looks like my 6 won't be out again until March. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cryin.gif

Does it count starting the engine, garage door open,
and staring out at sheets of sideways rain in 40 MPH ?

Looks like the weather is ...............
"broke down again!"

BLARGH!!

It was a sunny day here today,& I didn't have to work.
I decided to go get lunch... 20 miles away.It seemed like
a really bright idea, until I got about 15 miles down the road.Chilly out (the top to thr TR's still in the box).
Anyway,it got a decent driving.

december 11th, Nashville TN 78 DEGREES - started to drive the Acura to work, got 4 miles down the road and turned around - been TR6'n it all day!! Its just what I needed. And I had a chance to go get an estimate on painting....my wife's gift to me for Christmas....great day, great car, GREAT wife!!! I wonder what she wants in return?

Likely some jewellery that's worth more'n your car!

I did, 60 miles and after 4000mls since august (since the day I bought it) this is also the 1st day it has let me down. The engine just quit. Tried a few times with the (bosch) fuel pump making some funny noises (quit/loud) started again and brought mne within a qtr mile from home before finally dying. Guess the fuel pump is gone. Oh well, there is a 1st time for everything. Just hope they don't steal my new Panasports

I did!! My girlfriend and I took the TR-250 out for a nice drive today. It was around 40 degrees or so, with an overcast sky. We headed into downtown DC to browse a holiday fair and take in the latest exhibit at the National Gallery. The Triumph performed flawlessly, and we got lots of smiles and thumbs-up. It was quite cozy with the top up and the heat on. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Temp. plunged today to 65 degrees. Rain all day Sat. (our first since Oct.26th). Will go out for a spin this afternoon.

I dug out of another six inches of wet snow.

My back is killing me, so I may go tear apart my spare fuel pumps from eBay. I can sit at the work bench and do that comfortably.

Then again, maybe I'll watch my wife wrap gifts and the football game at the same time. That takes even less effort.

I drove to my parents (10 miles) Friday afternoon to help put up the Christmas tree which obviously took about 5x as long as anticipated, so the night drive home with the top down was brisk and invigorating!

Dale, how close are we to 500?? I've got a bottle of Malta India (Producto de Puerto Rico) waiting to drink and toast you and Amos!

ps. Malta India

John,

EDIT: 12-17-07

Maybe you ought to hold off on that bottle. Dale should have passed the mark, but was held back by brake drum paint issues and weather.

No Cheers Yet!!

You guys are killing me. We got 8" of snow today and 22 degrees. I need to do some work on my work car and would have had to pull the TR3A out side. I couldn't bring myself to do that.

John,

I think that you can crack that bottle open tonight. Dale surpassed the 500 mark a week or so ago.

Cheers!!

Dang! How did I miss THAT?? Well, here's to another 5000 miles! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif Good work Dale and Co.!

Yes, there should have been some major announcement for that!

Paul may have been a bit premature with his
pronouncement.

A mjaor victory post, by yours truly, will
occur when DPO Pedro and The Crypt Car
are officially banished into archive darkness.

As for now, almost Amos is doing very well.
I wish it would stop raining so I could rack up a few more miles driven.

Stay tuned!!!

I just ain't gonna tell ya. My poor baby is in
pieces and I'm going through shock at the cost
figures for repair and trying to justify the
expense (so much going for myself) during Christmas
time.
A driving car in the family is a benefit to all,
right? (Two seater factor ignored).

Come on, this repair will help everyone, right?
(And remember, if you can't say something nice.....
silence is golden.....)

On another note: Dale, I bought the Adobe Element
or Essentials, whatever the name, software. So far
I like it. Can you help about the part of what
to click to resize to Forum specs onacountabecause I
want these guys to view my engine parts.

I'm starting to hate this thread.....
