Who drove their Triumph today? It's all of 71 degrees in the Nation's Capital, and Greenie and I shared a glorious drive to work through Rock Creek Park. We went in late enough so that there was no traffic and, just as importantly, no park police! The fall driving season has arrived! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't have a Triumph anymore /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif ....But I am going to run some errands after work in the MGA.

I drove my Herald last night; does that count?

Gotta watch out, though; since getting it back on the road 7/1/06 with "collector" insurance, I've put on nearly half of the mileage allowed by the policy. I've got around 9.5 months to go (save for November-March). I might either have to lie, or see about getting a change in the policy for more total mileage....

it would be really unfortunate if your spedo cable 'broke' today...

I've actually thought about that, Jim, but I dunno. Basically, I'm a pretty honest person. More importantly, though, I'm happy to drive the car as much as I can, and I'm proud of the ever-higher numbers on the odometer.

Sure, I could've kept the car as the semi-original, low-mileage (50k and a little bit) sedan it was when I bought it in 2002. But as soon as I bought it and then took a 2550-mile round trip in it three weeks later, I decided that I enjoyed it far too much to keep it wrapped up 364 days a year!

Oh, and then it was my ONLY car from March-October 2003.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

NO! It just ain't the same! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I drove mine to Pt. Lookout to play golf. Lets not talk about the golf......uuuuugly but the ride in the TR was great.

Raining for the last two days in Wisconsin. The fall golf season is upon us and I've found that if I take the woods outta the bag and lay them in the trunk, the bag will fit. My set gets the hood put on the bag and bungeed to the luggage rack. Road trippin my little car and fall golf. Life is good.

What if I go home and sit in the TR4A's driver's seat and make Vroom, Vroom noises?/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

I drove mine to the shop on Monday and hope to be driving it back home tomorrow afternoon. I want it home before it rains on Thursday.

I could do that, but the driver's seat for the TR8, along with the passenger's, is in the bonus room off our bedroom. Don't think my bride would be too amused!

Soon, though - hopefully the engine and tranny are going in this weekend!

I finished my axiliary hood release last night. That's sort of a bonding experience. It's raining here so I won't drive today, but I did put in to take Friday off. Plan on covering at least 100 miles.

Had to go to the DMV to get tags for another car. Had to take the TR right? Pretty cool here today also, but miles are miles.
