Who Did your Restortation?

I'm one of those that enjoys doing his own restorations.
Am I professional body guy? Nope. Mechanic? Nope.
Just enjoy the process and have learned not to have
unreasonable expectations. I figure the skills I'm
learning can be put to good use when I get my next
project.

Jazzy, I have a formula that works pretty well for me on estimating restoration costs. First, build a complete list of everything you think you will need...everything...then go to the catalogs and find the prices for all those things.....add that up. Take the results of that work and add 30% to it....then take that number and double it. That seems to get me pretty close to what I end up spending on a complete build...and that's if I do almost all the work myself. Of course, I still factor in using pros for all the stuff I couldn't or wouldn't do.
