Speedo's the same regardless of the transmission; for the OD trans, use tach #SN5230-08 ~ 1280 turns unless your '74 was made after Sep 74 then its the same regardless of transmission ~ 1000rpm

Some were different RPM's & had different parts numbers....some had different chrome trim rings & had different parts numbers....some were different sizes & had different parts numbers....each minor difference caused a new parts number.
I've got a citation here from the WA State Patrol says 87 mph on it.
When your rear is only 6 inches off the ground and you are flyin' that speed it really does seem fast!
I don't do that any more, having been given a reprieve by the judge for my past good behavior. If I keep my nose clean for one year it totally goes away, just like it never happened.
