I have found another gearbox top shifter assembly that is not jammed like the one I buggered up. I am installing the gearbox top shifter cover assembly on to the bottom part of the gearbox: 1.When the 2 lever forks are are moved towards the middle then they are in the correct position to drop down onto the gears in neutral position ...correct? 2. I figured out a way to align the reverse gear into its slot on installation by using a dental pick to hold it into place and quickly removing it when installing the top cover. My question is at what point does the reverse locking bolt on the bell housing get tightened down? 3. Without having to wait weeks for a gasket for the top cover to bottom of gearbox mating surface what type of sealer could I use there....black hylomar or is the proper gasket the only way to go. Any advice is appreciated. Karl
