What's for Dinner?

Offline
Tonight we're having flame kissed angus beef ribeye steaks with grilled white sweet corn on the cob, with butter, and baked potatoes loaded to the gills with cheese, butter, ham, sour cream, and anything else I can find to put on there. Pepsi and/or Sunkist orange to wash it all down with.
Steaks are marinating in my special marinade blend right now.

What are you having?

Hey Kenny

Basil (hehehe) and Parmasian Ravioli, with sweet Italian sausages, and a bottle of wine wash it down.

Enjoy,
Pat

Chili con carne over herbed Basmati rice. I'm sweing it up right now and it smells unreal!! Oh and I have to suck it all down with a few nice hoppy beers. Saranac IPA. Yum Yum.

Short life but a merry one!

Chicken stew, tea and a pear here - and a long boring life!

Mother-in-law made golomkies (stuffed cabbge leafs, Polish style)filled with rice, beef and pork. I use a little vinegar on them as I just can't seem to eat cabbage without vinegar. That said, I had a cup of tea and for dessert tapioca with mandarin oranges.

Now to the treadmill.....

Cardiologist was upset with my 6# weight gain in 6 months. She's little but carries a lot of authority.

When you are Syrian, it's Syrian. My wife, who is Lebanese, cooks differently. When she cooks. But you are correct, it is all regional, each culture having a slightly different twist.

Interestingly, what comes to mind when you think of "comfort food?" Mac and cheese? I would bet that each member of the BCF would have his/her own list of comfort foods that are akin to thumb sucking.

For me, it would be grape leaf rolls! What are yours?

The Mrs and I were forced to attend a Sunday afternoon
family picnic that included a Lechon with all the trimmings.

A Lechon is a young pig, slow roasted for many hours
over charcoal.

Yum yum!
