What's for Dinner?

Offline
Julie's at work this evening, so...

I'm having a homemade ground sirloin burger, and baked beans. Sunkist orange soda to wash it down. Then some homemade vanilla ice cream for desert.

What are you having?

The wife is cooking up some lamb goulash. I'll be eating it for at least 3 meals, it's a good thing I like it.

Friday, Jerri & I found a farm nearby where they grow their own pork, slaughter their own pork, & sell it...they have a huge walk-in cooler so the meat is never frozen...has no preservatives either...she bought 10 pounds of their sausage (had the sausage for breakfast Saturday & bacon this morning - best tasting I've ever had - BOTH!), some of their bacon & ham (country-style salt cured), their ribs, & tenderloin....tonight we're having tenderloin cooked as a wiener schnitzel...don't know yert what she's gonna serve with it!

Raisin Bran and Cherrios.

Schnitzel....YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There used to be a restaurant in the town where I grew up (Lincoln, IL) called "The Mill". It was constructed to mimick a Dutch Windmill. They made Schnitzel to die for....used huge hamburger buns...and it still escaped the sides...probably 10" in diamter!

Jean and I will be having brautwurst cooked in beer tonight. And maybe a couple of Boddingtons. Goes good with NASCAR.

:thirsty:

Well, since you asked...

Supper club tonight! Shrimp Creole, spinach/artichoke dip, smoked salmon/cream cheese dip, salad, French bread (the REAL thing from N.O.!), and wine from the local winery!

Life IS good!

Sounds to me as though you need to switch over to Lipitor or Zocor and start enjoying life again! (Eat a bran muffin for breakfast if you really need the fibre!)

Brocolli Cheese Noodle Soup
Wiener Schnitzer
Mashed Potatoes
Cooked Cabbage
Corn Bread
Iced Tea

Not to elicit sympathy, but I'm home alone tonight and sitting here with two Peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches and a bowel of Hearty Beans and Ham soup, washed down with a nice tall glass of Moo Juice.

Man, if I were home alone it would be a bologna sandwich with mustard & onion, popcorn, a beer & a JOHN WAYNE movie turned up so loud it would rattle the windows!

Well, at least I think I have all the food groups covered (except fruit), but I'm going to have an orange for dessert.

Yeah, but mine would be all the things I'm not supposed to have but enjoy!

Tried Lipitor, didn't do much.
Diet and excercise and I managed to bring it down 30%, now I've got to keep it down.

We're "upright" 'cause we CHASE our dinner.

THAT keeps th' cholesterol down, fer sure!

...did I mention I let HER do th' baggin'? I just fire burn th' stuff after She drags it back to th' hovel. :smirk:

Peppered steak on Portugese rolls - MMMMMM Yum!. Last solid meal for a day or so. I've got to have a "proceedure" on Tuesday so my entire intake for the Monday day will be Gatorade, Jello and Laxatives - TMI, sorry boys!

Been there, done that...prep is the hardest....except for getting over the sedative...my 'procedure' started early in morning & I didn't really wake up until the next day!

Good thing you're at home alone if you're having a "bowel" of hearty beans and ham soup!!!

...that's precious!
