What does that mean?
I had a '75 Midget in '88 or so.
 
1975 was the first year of Rubber Bumper Midgets. 74 was still chrome but had those large rubber overiders stuck on the chrome bumpers.

Question from relatively new owner of a frame-off restored BE with 1275cc engine (also am old geezer with dangerously limited knowledge of same): Can a 1500cc engine go in a BE?

Seriously, as the owner of a 1500 I have to acknowledge that the 1275 is the better engine. As I recall, once in the past year a 1500 in a 1275 square body showed up on Ebay and no one could figure out why. So, hypothetically the answer is probably yes but I don't know why you'd want to.
 
As a 1500 owner, I will agree with JP whole heartedly.

The worst part is all the A-series guys making cracks at our expense all the time.

It's awful.
