I had been married to my wife for a year and 6 months! We were probably still up around the Glen in '72 for the GP which was run on the 8th.(Her first time to an F1 GP!).
Holy Cow!!! After thinking about the dates, I was also at the Glen for that F1 race!!! And, it was my future wife's first F1 race also!!!
I was there too!
That makes <span style="font-weight: bold">Three</span> of us that were there.
Funny story: We were at the Glen a few years ago with a couple our age who'd been married about 10 years (2nd time around for both). We were having dinner and drinks at The Seneca Lodge (*the* place to eat at Watkins Glen).
The husband and I are talking and he tells me that the first time he was at The Glen was for the '68 Formula One race.
I laught and tell him I was at that event too!
Then his wife laughts and tells him *she* was at that event too...apparently with a bunch of her college girlfriends.
I guess neither of them had ever discussed this before.
At which point I remember that me and my two pals ran into a gang of college girls from New Jersey at that '68 event and.......Whoops! Better not go there!
We all had a good laugh about it.
Oh, congrats on 36 years or marriage!
