Speaking of, do those little silent-whistle-bumper-mounted-thingies work to scare off deer?
 
A friend some years ago wrapped his TR6 around a horse. Not pretty. The friend survived but neither the horse nor the TR6 were recognizable as such.
 
I had a horse unsuccesfully attempt to jump my midget some years back. The adjuster was so confused, had to show him the hair stuck between the broken top frame and folded windshield for him to come around.
 
I'm going to side-step the horse comments and the mental images raised thereby, and simply suggest the following top 10:

1. My keys
2. Sunblock
3. A hat
4. A bottle of water
5. Fully-charged cell phone
6. AAA card
7. Hagerty card
8. Radio/iPod speakers (if car is not so equipped)
9. A spare rotor (or two)

And my absolute favorite:

10. A delightful passanger. :smile:

In a word, "No."

The only thing I know that works is keeping a sharp eye on the roadside (BOTH of 'em!) for glowing green jewels (deer eyes). If you see 'em, slow down...
