What is it?

OK, time for some cranberry lessons. (I grew up in "The Cranberry Capital of the World") Cranberries grow on vines, like groundcover. They don't grow underwater or in water. The old style of harvesting is called "dry harvesting" No water is involved and there is nothing to support the weight of the cranberry scoop other than the person doing the harvesting. It was tough work. Dry harvesting is still conducted today, although with machines the harvester walks behind.

The more modern method is to flood the bogs and the berries float to the top of the water. A harvesting machine goes through the bog and knocks the berries off the vine which remain floating on top of the water.

The berries are corralled using booms and then vacuumed up into waiting trucks:

Make your drug mixture into a thick putty like consistancy. Put it under the wooden bit and push it back and forth and hey presto - roll your own pills.

We got a winner! It's a pill roller. Make a paste similar to PlayDoh and roll it up and down . This one is from the late 1800's-early 1900's.

Here's a "What is it" that is a specialty auto tool. I covered up the description of the tool. Anybody know what it is?

Ouiji thing? Gives you yes or no answers as you move it over the bonnet (while asking diagnostic questions).
Oh, wait, I see "ounces" on the scale... so maybe it's a ouiji scale.

In one word nooooooo, but you are correct it measures ozs

OK, one sucks on the black thing... producing a vacuum recorded in ounces. From that one feels better about their car.
I'm sure that's it.

hmmm - what part(s) on a car would be measured in ounces ....?

I thought maybe tire balancing weights - but can't find anything looking like that.

OK, a hint... a service station guy might carry it in his pocket and place it in position to show the driver that something might need replacing.

My money's on Tom to get this one.
