What gearbox did I just buy

I just received shipment of a gearbox that was supposed to have come from a BJ8 - it didn't based upon my old box.
Could anyone tell me what it came from please?
The number on the box is IM8896 and I am attempting to include a photo.

Thanks

Thanks scott,

I just found out the BJ8 box that was shipped to me somehow morphed into an MGB.

Well, I don't think it will fit, but I always liked the way they worked in an MGB.

Well, that depends on your determination level...

When the all synchromesh gearbox was designed for the MGC (in theory, the Healey engine modernized), the gearbox was redesigned and a much larger layshaft incorporated. It's a stronger gearbox than the the original Healey side or center shifter transmissions.

The MGB box has a shorter set of gears and a smaller bellhousing than the MGC version. They are otherwise identical.

I have an MGC gearbox in my Healey. I can provide the details if anyone is interested.
