I am posting this in the Pub, because there might be others out there...
We installed a Weber downdraft carb on our B with a header. It idles beautifully but seems to really lack power in 1st gear. The Carb is opening both ports together when it kicks in which seems like its getting WAY too much fuel. It has always done this since we purchased it new. This doesn't seems right and makes the car run rich in fuel when you give it gas. We don't think both should open at the same time in lower gear.
We think this is why it seems to lack "umph" in the lower gears and is overfeeding fuel.
How do we adjust these? Could it have been adjusted wrong on assembly? Can we fix this?
Any ideas would be welcome.
