well, she runs.... but

When the car is running - even idling, there is no fuel coming out the overflow.

Timing was correct - and has not been changed - but I'll check again

carb damper moves fine

choke is off/ disconnected

valve adjustment is correct

wondering about spark - pulled a plug and it is yellow when I thought it should be blue.

has new coil, new rotor, new distributor cap, new plug wires,

The only other thing I can think of is that I pulled the diodes on the red/white wires under the dash for things like the EGR - can't imagine it would be this - and barely want to mention it because of this crowd's short attention span.

Ideas?

Bump

was working on it last night - (Grey's Anatomy) turned the needle adust out 12 flats. (just to confirm - turn right till tight then back off 12 flats)

started and she ran - she now idles solidly. checked the timing - seems a little more than the 2 deg ATDC that it should be - but only a couple degrees (to confirm - ATDC is to the LEFT of tdc looking down from the top (1500))

opened the throttle - it wants to accelerates more - backfires now and then quits.

I'm counting on you all - thoughts?

Oh and I sprayed WD40 all around - nothing changed

Backfire through carb or exhaust?

carb

Are you sure your chain is not off a tooth??

can't imagine Jack, as it was running smoothly - just rich - so, as far as I can tell it's only the carb that is different

Ahh.
