Miss Agatha runs a heck of a lot better with the carbs adjusted properly.

Hows that for a dumb move, guess I had a senior moment or two in the carb case.

Aw, Jack, we'll just blame it on those old eyes you once had! hehehehe

Well you know at 150 miles I changed the oil and filter, adjusted the valves, reset the timeing, and checked the tire pressure and toe in/out.

Forgot the carbs, what can I say. IT'S HOT OUT THERE, GUESS I TOOK A BREAK AND FORGOT.

I always keep a jug of iced tea with lots of ice in it when working out there in the dog days Jack!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I just can't go out there and work at this time of year at all. My garage faces due south, and with 97 degrees and over 90% humidity already in place in late June and early July, I dread to think what North Carolina in August is going to be like.

It's not as if I am not used to it, been here 16 years, but sometimes I am nostalgic for breezy English summer afternoons, blue sky with fluffy cumulus clouds, with the thermometer barely reaching 70, and if it scrapes up to 75, newspaper headlines saying "Phew, what a scorcher!", and no humidity whatsoever.

Or for those blue-sky days in the South of France with 85 degrees and 30%.

Ah yes,Chris. We can but dream of those long lost days of yore. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif
Right now it's 85f and pouring down here in Baton Rouge.I think my rain gauge says 1.5" and that was in 15 minutes. It's certainly not an idyllic English summer day.
It's also thundering.
Nice day to reminisce and day dream. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif
But not a day to be in the garage doing things.

Stuart. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Here in KC I,ve had 6.5" of rain in 3 days and then its gone to 90 to 95. If you have followed the weather, we've had a lot of rain south of here.

And whats that then? Have you seen the latest from Wimbledon, I think they were 177 matches behind schedule the last time I checked... I haven't been able to cut my grass in over 3 weeks coz it's soaking wet, and there's no let up for the foreseeable future! Kinda pees on all those "global warming" theories, it's also very cold for the time of year!
