"Auto Pump" Made in NZ

I've got several of them on my used fuel pump shelf....seems they were installed by PO's at some time years ago when SU's weren't available.

Keeper or paperweight?

It would be a good paperweight that could be used as a fuel pump in a pinch.

Me thinks you've already answered that one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Vping - if the pump works, consider mounting it under the car near the fuel tank and plumb it in line with the standard pump. Wire it and the stock pump to power through a single pole, double throw switch so you have a permanently mounted back up pump. The Auto Pump is a bit over pressure to use in place of the standard low pressure pump (the Auto Pump puts out around 4 psi or better). It will work fine in a pinch as Tony stated.
Cheers,

Kinda like this one:

PO must have had fuel problems. I think bad gas as they only started it every few years or so.

I pulled the carbs off last night to free them up. There is so much varnish in there I thing I'm going to start a furnture business.
