Weber Vs. SU, w/ reliability in mind

oh yeah, what you planning to do about that gap between the radiator support and radiator, Doc?

I have the DGV in the Pinto....

If I didn't have to have it on account of SCCA rules, I'd pitch it.....

It has a stumble I can't get rid of & the accelerator pump is never right.
(Yea I've talked w/ all the FF guys and I have ALL the jets, venturies & every other stupid part for it)
Also a wide band LM-1 that I use to tune it.

What a PITA.......Stick w/ the old SU's

OR.....Mod the heck out of it and put on duel DCOE's

I bet Doc has a plan.

I've a plan indeed: The old windshield bottom gasket will be modified to seal that puppy! And it'll look BESPOKE too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm a little dash-pot short and sweet,
Here is my plunger...Here is my seat,
When I get all oiled up, I run sweet...
Just blip my throttle and I'll compete!!!

Whinnie- Ha- Ha!!!!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cowboy.gif

I vote for SU's, however....

to have the throttle bushing properly done

Do you already know they're bad? or is that an assumption?

Lots of folks think you have to do them everytime you rebuild but I've learned that its relatively unusual that its really needed.

Yep, SUs make it sing.

Thanks for all the replies! I appreciate the advice

Heh, and the Northeastern Classics owner I don't _think_ was trying to weasel me into buying a Weber from him...He knew I wasn't from the area,

En that was just the reason he tried to sell it to you he knew he would not have to answer to you when all the trouble began.---Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.
