Weber Adjustment question

I finally get mad enough at my water choked Stromberg to buy the weber kit off ebay with electric choke. The Stromberg would start with ether then die. The weber was a 34 DGEC not the normal 32/36. Well, after numerous trips to the store to get tubing, piping, PCV valve, gasket, nuts, elbows, and a tee, I finally have it all hooked up.

I turned the key on for a few seconds for the electric fuel pump to fill the new weber and adjust the pressure regulator. Then something amazing happened. First turn of the key, the car started. Totally shocked me.

The issue, the idle is REALLY fast with the choke on. 5k fast.

How do you adjust the choked idle speed? I get a one year phone support from weber, but they are not open on the weekend. Hopefully someone here knows the tricks.

If someone wants all the details of this $280 shipped special, let me know.

thanks

Alan

Alan- Pilot?

If I remember right. You turn the side of the choke canister.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Last one I did was my Weber on my Capri in 78

i would think that turning the canister would change the tension on the choke butterfly.

There should be an adjustment screw on the choke mechanism.

Just looked at a PDF of that carb and there is a fast idle screw located between the choke canister and the carb body.

There is an adjustment screw that rides on the choke cam. I think that is it. However, there is another spring loaded screw on the choke body itself. I am not sure what that one does.

Don - where did you find the pdf of this weber?

Grrrrrr!!!! Went to adjust the fast idle and no gas pressure. Debugged to the pressure regulator clogged or broke. Ordering a Holley now. What is three or four more days until it is running?
