WOW! Sure glad I had my high top boots on.

yeesh - I've been scanning that photo for a few minutes, and *still* don't see the critter.

You took the time to stop & take a picture?
I would've been 100 feet away by then.

OK,I give up.....where is it?

Ok, for those who just can't find it and want to see where it is, I'll post the picture here but try to hide it so you have to click to reveal.

Here he is. I think the head is buried under leaves.

Now that you know where he is, go back to the original image and I'll bet you still have trouble finding him.

Wow - talk about being perfectly adapted to your environment!

That territory looks a lot like our back yard. Maybe I oughta let da 'mits in on that.

Great camouflage, I had to go back and scan a few times even after the reveal.

We get rattlers around regularly...had our Dog hit in his mug once chasing a ball (vet/all ok)... not hard to deal with but Green Mohave Rattlers are very deadly...hemo and nuero toxic combined. Hard to see in the harsh sun but they have a slight greenish tint.
