Wanted Wanted TR3 rust free nut & bolt restoration

Hello,
I’m new to the forum & have been researching TR3’s for about a year, so I have narrowed down what I am looking for. I’m located in Largo, Florida
& looking for a TR3, ideally with O.D. In any of following colors: dark BRG with tan interior, white with burgundy interior, or red
with tan or black interior car. If the car has black undercoating, black engine bay, blistering or cracking paint I’m not interested.
I would need lots of close up photos & documentation to justify hiring an appraiser or traveling to see the car in person.

So if anyone is looking to sell or has anything close to what I’m looking for please contact me.

Nice car, but I’m not in a hurry & I’m willing to wait for the right car at the right price.

Yes it has too much go for the tastes of many....(160HP @ 6400RPM) But that is why the # matching motor
goes with it. It was built to stock specs before going under the bench.
I have a 61 project I could build to spec( OD, exterior was white)

I don’t think paying someone to restore a car to specs wouldn’t end up being economically feasible. I’m looking for someone that has paid for all that, but will never recoup their cost due to the current market. I’ve seen a lot of TR’s for sale for a year without selling, however way overpriced. I will end up selling my current historic car for way less than I invested & I did all the work myself.

Well of course shopping for a bargain or an estate car is an option. but you will finally have to settle
for what comes along.
I restored a one owner 76 Tr6 some years ago, original color MIMOSA !!!He said he had always hated the color
buy when he went to the dealership, it was the only OD car they had. One 2 year restoration later, he got the
BRG/Bisque car of his dreams.

I have respectable money to spend, but I don’t want to settle for less. Scared to enter into restoration, as I have heard horror stories from others that have paid for a restoration. What would you estimate your finished restoration would sell for.

You know the only reason I am considering selling the 59, is the 63 Tr3b is just about done. It is more of a
survivor with only a wing off restoration.
The 59 with both motors has to be worth 33k or I will let the kids fight over it. The 1961 I was speaking of
is a fine project car with very little rust and NO collision damages. Where people go astray in a project is
going for concourse with a poor example. Most cars will never get back to 100 points without huge amounts
of cash. This car could get back to 100 % for around 30k at todays prices.
In my 17 years of running a collision/restoration shop I saved a lot of tr3's that were horror stories victims.
So yes, I have seen it all and then some. I take some pride when I see these cars out and about since they might well
have been lost but for the TLC I gave them. Some of them I would love to know where they are now.

Looks like a basic driver. I’m looking for something short of a trailer queen, but a weekend driver that doesn’t have to be a concourse car.

I really lucked out when I bid my maximum price on BAT & won exactly what I was looking for.
This car looks like in has never been driven. I was worried about the drivers door fitment, but I
I was able to fix it myself. It even had 50 year old tires that show no signs of age
or wear. I was pleased to find that it had a full synchro gear box. I will be replacing the patina leather interior & tires, but I can’t help but think the vintage tires & or maybe original leather seats would be desirable for a trailer queen show car.
I want to install Brooklands windscreens from Moss, but I need mounting brackets to fit original holes.
