That was my point with the rotisserie restoration thread. Many of the folks here are capable of noting the small things that could/should be different (particularly like the dash top being red instead of black). But somebody who doesn't have the detailed knowledge necessary to tell what's different gets mislead.
Eventually, the new owner shows up at a concours show with his new, and very expensive, BJ8 only to learn that he's got a 92 at best, with plenty of work left if he wants to reach 99.
Now it's fine if you prefer a red dash over a black dash, but the seller needs to point out that the dash is not the original color so that the buyer is not mislead. I am familiar with caveat emptor (I use that cuz I know how much Anthony likes latin) this isn't about lawsuits, it's about Healey people being honest with each other.
