Putting more bits together on 20 year project. I bought a new tube, with thread ends. The Distributor end is easy, but where on earth does the carb end go? and how does it get there?(!)
Thanks already. This is a wonderful forum.

PS.

Should be a fitting on the bottom of the front carb. The line curves around (just hanging in space) then comes up and follows the fuel line through the clip on the Tstat housing. You can see part of it in this shot from Practical Hints, just below number 9 on the front carb.

(Click on the thumb, then on the magnifying glass for a larger image)

Here's a shot where you can see the fitting, near the top right.

PS, they aren't all the same, so your fitting may not look exactly the same as mine.

Thank you both. Once I knew what to look for ir=t all came into place. The female "fitting" in the carb only has a couple of threads left so i shall either have to get a very small helical, or use some locate to keep it in place.

IIRC those threads are not SAE, so Loctite (or JB Weld) is probably a better option.

Thank you. That will save a lot of anguish and tooth grinding. And Cash

BTW what does IIRC mean? "If I recall correctly"? never met that one, but it is very handy!

Yup, If I Recall Correctly. Leftover from the 300 baud modem days, but as you say, quite useful.
