Putting more bits together on 20 year project. I bought a new tube, with thread ends. The Distributor end is easy, but where on earth does the carb end go? and how does it get there?(!)

Should be a fitting on the bottom of the front carb. The line curves around (just hanging in space) then comes up and follows the fuel line through the clip on the Tstat housing. You can see part of it in this shot from Practical Hints, just below number 9 on the front carb.

Thank you both. Once I knew what to look for ir=t all came into place. The female "fitting" in the carb only has a couple of threads left so i shall either have to get a very small helical, or use some locate to keep it in place.
