Is there a correct position for the grease nipples on prop' shaft universal joints? Should they point towards or away from the shaft?

I have always done towards the shaft. A little easier to get to after install.

Latest ones I got from Moss recently had the nipple in the end of one of the bearing cups. Seems like a logical improvement.

Nipple in the end of the cross not a good idea. Poor balance and road debris can break it off. Whether aimed toward the shaft or yoke is a matter of preference and access considerations but make sure it is under compression when the drive shaft is loaded.

Thanks for input, I will mount them toward the shaft.

Stan, I'm not sure what you mean, but make sure it is under compression when the drive shaft is loaded.

The driveshaft rotates in a clockwise direction when viewed from the front so be sure the nipple is being squeezed by the driving yoke against the driven yoke.
