Anybody know anything about these little machines? I picked up one this weekend for $40. It has the milling setup with it and looks to be a handy little piece of hardware.

What the heck is it. Pic or a link would be cool.

I ran across this site. It looks like this guy has parts and a manual available.

I'd say you really did good for $40.

Great little table top machine tools. Very high quality - you got a bargain in my opinion.

You can also look at the Micro-Mark catalog/web site for consumables (cutters, etc) and the Sherline web site. (I'd say that Sherline is sort of the modern Unimat although there's no actual connection that I know of.) Also, see https://secure.villagepress.com/store for publication (Including Home Shop Machinist magazine). There are a zillion web sites covering projects made with machines like this.

I have a benchtop Sherline mill & lathe that I frequently use for making small bushings, spacers, etc.
