Two years ago today I posted a request here looking for a RHD MGB.

https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/showthread.php?74064-Hunting-for-a-RHD-B-or-BGT

A few hours later JP posted a link to a car in Canada that might work. Dave (14dna) looked at ti for me the next day, and two days later I had agreed to buy the car. It has proved to be a very solid car, well worth the effort it took to get it here.

It's currently in a few pieces, with the carbs out with Hap for a rebuild and most of the interior gutted. Getting new interior panels and some paint on the floorboards where the old paint has failed and flaked off. Rebuilt distributor too, put that in yesterday. Hope to have it back on the road in a few weeks.

"Look mommy - there's a passenger in that car but nobody is driving!" I remember the strange looks I got when I had my RHD Daimler!

When we were touring in Arches National Park Jenny was in the passenger seat turning around to take pictures. Freaked out quite a few folks driving by.

Just realized I have another anniversary today -- 8 years since I joined the BCF. My how time flies...

Nah, you just need to start driving on the left side of the street.

Seriously, what's really fun is being the passenger in a RHD car in a place where people drive on the right. Whenever I'm in that position, my instincts keep telling me that I have to be in control of the car, but of course I'm not. It can be a little disconcerting.

Drives my wife crazy. I keep telling her to A) talk on her cell phone, B) lean out the window and take pictures, C) lay back and take a nap, or D) use the spare steering wheel and scare to poo out of drivers in the next lane.

We go round corners and Jenny puts her hands up over her head -- look ma, no hands!

We're going to cause an accident some day...
