$80 sounds like top dollar for a set of EN 17.
Often on ebay for $10-20 ea. oldgraynorm usually has then on sale.
With a 948 you don't need anything more exotic than EN17

When you replace the pinion seal just be sure to use a torque wrench and don't tighten the pinion nut quite up to the original torque spec's and you should be fine. If you over tighten the nut you will crush the spacer tube farther than spec and end up with a noisy or worse rear diff.
