TR2/3/3A Trunnion Install

I'm working on trunnion installation, and the service manual says to screw it "home" then back off about a turn. Does this mean the trunnion main body should screw in until it contacts the bottom of the vertical link base? The steering stop boss on my trunnions - both old and new - hit the base before it can be screwed to what I would consider "home". The trunnions are also not the same distance from the vertical link base (left side compared to right side) after my best effort to place them in the correct position.

Do the pictures above appear to show a correct trunnion install? FYI, I can rotate the right side 1 more turn, but the seal seems that it might be overly compressed.

Thanks,
Joel

Those look fine to me.
