The wire harness inside the trunk area has two black ground wires with eyelits. What area of the trunk should they be screwed to and what type of screw?
Thanks,
Mark Skaw

Easiest to describe with a picture. There are a couple of pictures and description on John Sim's website

Here's a direct link to the pictures:

https://www.healey6.com/137bc0d0.jpg (this shows the right side and the left side location is a mirror image of this)

https://www.healey6.com/138bc0d0.jpg (this shows the left side but is harder to see at this angle)

More rear boot harness installation pictures are at his site in the Library Page Two area (you will need to scroll down near the end of the library page to find it)

Short sheet metal screws are used to secure the eyelets. The existing holes should be a good indication of the screw size needed.

Cheers,
John

Those were my pictures and info posted to John's site. The screws are #6 x 1/2" long phillips pan head self tapping screws.

Since nobody mentioned this, I will;
In order to maintain a good electrical ground over time, you should scrape away all paint/primer down to bare metal around the hole where the grounding lug will touch the body when screwed in. Then install a star washer between the grounding lug of the harness and the body. Do this at every location where the harness is grounded. After fastening these ground lugs down in this manner, you can " paint " over the lug/screw. This will slow down the corrosion process as much as possible.
