Triumph people Comments?

I worked races for the SCCA on the grid/pits, seemed to be more Triumphs, be it TR3s, TR4s and Spitfires than MGs.????

It seems like that to me as well. I suspect that it has more to do with Triumph typically having more cubic inches than their MG counterpart. I also feel like they were marketed more as 'sports' cars and MG more as cruisers.
 
I remember the commercial of a TR6 running down the road towards a brick wall and driving past as "Triumph, we strive to miss those things!"
 
V-8s don't always rule!
 
Wasn't the first eco turbo four by Ford first built in England? Therefore, still Triumph?
