This is strictly academic since if I brought home another British car at this time my wife would destroy me, BUT....
What is involved in converting a TR7 into a TR8 making it as close to the British incarnation as possible ie Rover engine. I would love an authentic TR8 but I wonder with the availbility of TR7 fixer-uppers if that might not be a more "practical" approach ("practical" and "lbc hobby" don't really go together, I know). What is the availability of transplantable Rover engines? what suspension/drivetrain changes are needed? Is it ultimately cheaper just to find a TR8?
