Does anyone have experience with Pretige Autotrim wool carpet sets from the UK?

I will in about a month when I order and receive the carpets for the Wedge

I put the nylon in mine and they are nice, but I wished that I had waited for the wool. the problem was the back order for chestnut was months at the time I changed mine. Nothing like the smell of the wool.

And I do mean when it's DRY........for those waiting to pounce on that one.

A follow up. I requested a sample of Pretige Autotrim's wool and synthetic pile carpets in brown. Within a few days they arrived. The color of the synthetic carpet matched the original, the wool was more reddish. The difference in texture and luxuriousness was obvious. The wool is a much shorter and dense pile that looks and feels so much better.

So what to do, should I go with the synthetic and color matching the original at $234, or go with the more expensive wool set at $474?

Well the question was rapidly answered by my wife. Now keep in mind when I buy parts for the car, she usually rolls her eyes at the cost. However, as she was examining the two samples, it was clear to her which way to go. Buy the wool!

So to keep peace in the house, I will spend the extra bucks. Life is good.

Ray, sometimes you just HAVE to listen to your wife.....

Ray,Is that the UK price or the US dist. price?

The prices I posted are in US Dollars, shipping starts at ~$60. These guys offer a whole range of products in leather or vinyl.

I have yet to order my carpets, so I cannot attest to the quality of the workmanship, but that wool carpet is sure nice...

I understand that. I want to know if that is ordering from the UK or the USA company. They have BOTH.

Don, I was not aware there was a NY presence. I had contacted their UK facility, which appears to be the main manufacturing center. The samples I received came from the UK.

Anyway, the price quotes for the carpet are the same, but the shipping from NY is a flat $30.

I had planned to call their 800 number before ordering, now I have a couple of more questions...

Who gave you the quotes.

NY TR6 Wool $474.00

UK TR6 Wool 250.00 (pounds) Current exchange= $387.00

Interesting.
The quote was on the price list included in the sample mailer sent from the UK. I would guess that given they have a US/Canadian distributor, they set the price in US dollars rather then in Pounds.

I will ask.

You don't have to buy from the US dist. Just buy online from UK

At least that is what somebody told me and I asked that question in an e mail and was told by them also.
