TR6 TR6 wind blocker design

LBC owners have too much time on their hands. It is a nice clean design though.

I could imagine the guy is wearing pink shirts .... someone should give him a Mercedes SL and rescue that TR 6 from abuse.

Hey ,I wear pink polo shirts, I take offense!!

Geez...I drove TS74011L for 11 years....March thru November without sidescreens...If you don't want wind leave the 'hood' up...

I know...I AM a grumpy old bastard...

Something is wrong here. Driving a British sports car was always a wind in the hair experience. Or in many cases wind on the scalp.
Anyway this whole wind blocker thing is wrong. If you don't want to be bothered by the wind don't lower the top. Or roll down the windows and unzip the rear window.
Amen Marx, with one addition. He should buy a chiffon scarf to protect his hair.

I'm going to 'upgrade' my TR2 with 5 mph bumpers, air bags, side impact door bars, ABS, Prius electric motors, Mazda seats, Toyota transmission, Datsun rear axle, cruise control, tilt wheel and that nifty Lexus self-parking feature.

Then I'm going to buy a CASE of pink shirts...and the chiffon head scarf...

The main reason for the wind blocker is for my wife, she likes to cruise in the TR6 but she's always complaining about the backdraft. (it really only helps a little)

"and yes she wears a pink aligator shirt!"

Geez, why all the bashing?

For people that want a wind blocker (that are avaiable on contemporary roadsters for a reason), I simply posted a very clean removeable design. Remove it and eat bugs and lose your favorite hat.

I drive top off, side curtains off, with tonneau on (to hide my pink tights).

To avoid complaining women in pink in my car I don't have a wind blocker and have taken out the co-drivers seat.

There are things which are better to be enjoyed alone.

A rally driver over here says: a good corner is one that you can see out of the side window.
Normally at this point women start complaining a lot when they go sideways.

Cheers
Chris

PS: There are some very brave TR drivers in Germany....but none of them showed up a 2nd time with a wind blocker /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/angel.gif

One of the really great things about these cars is that whoever's name is on the title can do whatever he or she wants to their car and have their own driving style. I believe it makes the hobby much more interesting.

For those that want a wind blocker more power to them, I can see that especially on long trips it would have decided benefits.

Thanks for posting it Peter.

kodanja, I like yours and have wondered about mounting something like that on the roll bar.
