does anyone know what to do with the vacume advance where does it get connected or does it even get connected ,

What year car ? I probably should ask what distributor ?
If the module you are concerned about is on the cockpit side of the dizzy, it's a vacuum retard.
In that case don't worry about it. Once your engine gets past 1100 rpms vacuum has dropped and the centrifugal advance weights are taking over the timing.
