TR6 TR6 Hazard Switches

Has anyone out there put a hazard switch for a '72 in a '69 TR6? The switch for the '69 is $200 the '72 is $77.

Cheers,
Colin

The hazard switch for a 69 is a simple DPDT switch, while the 72 switch is different electrically. That likely means the connector is different as well. And if I recall correctly, the later switch also needs a bigger hole in the dash.

If you don't care about originality, it might make sense to just look for a DPDT aftermarket switch. But I'm pretty sure you can make the later switch work, with enough effort.

Colin, Do you have the '69 switch? I can tell you how to fix it, if you still have it. The later switch has a different connector, is larger and will require some filing. You should just use spade connectors and a short bit of wire to make the plug in right, don't cut the wires, you may find one in the future.
